Athens, Georgia

Micah and I are currently in Athens, Georgia.  We are visiting my sister Bethany, and her husband Justin with my parents.  We are enjoying our spring break, and the warmer weather.  We went to the Georgia Aquarium yesterday, which Micah was really excited about so that he could see all the fish, and I was really excited about because I was pumped about taking some neat pictures.  We both loved it! They had huge whale sharks, and manta rays. It's always amazing to see such LARGE animals. We got to touch little sharks and sting rays too.

You can see how big the whale shark is here- it huge compared to the scuba divers.

While we were at the Aquarium, an officer was shot and killed in Athens.  Since then, there has been a massive man hunt looking for him.  They have not yet found him, so that has changed our vacation a bit. We are continually watching the news to where they think he may be, so that we do not go there.  So instead of visiting the Botanical Gardens today, we went to this cute little zoo near Bethany's home, (I also took a nap, I am fighting a cold pretty bad today).  Please pray for the family of the officer killed, as well as another officer who was shot in the encounter. Also, pray that they catch this guy without anymore people being hurt, he is dangerous, and seems desperate.

We are loving our little vacation, and enjoying our break from work, but miss our home, and our friends.
