Meredith and Micah: School's Back, Fall Begins

Finally-- its fall! I feel like I have been waiting all summer for this. It is hard to start a church job in the summer, when the fall programs are when you really get things going. Today our fall programs began, and they went pretty well! I did have to teach middle school (which was not the plan) but their half-time leader will begin next week.

Micah is enjoying his classes-- he says its a lot of review right now, which he takes as welcome relief to the hours upon hours of memorization he had in the summer. He almost doesn't know what to do with his free time right now (don't worry, I have suggestions). Plus he got a Graduate Assistantship-- he will be doing research on balance with his advisor. He is very excited about getting started working with her, and the extra income is definitely a plus.

We went to our first CMU football game. It was a lot of fun and CMU won! That makes it especially fun.

We could use some prayers-- the move to Mount Pleasant has not been easy on me. Plus working in a church 40 minutes away has made it difficult to plug in and meet people there, and because I work evenings and weekends, I am not able to really meet many people here either. We've been here for four months and its beginning to feel like home, even though I can count the people I know here on one hand. Please pray that God provides the guidance we need for the future, and that He puts the people in our life to support us in the ways that we need the most. Also, pray that my spirit does not rub off on Micah- he is doing awesome things here.
